1. In-flight Insight

While on the UA1165 flight to Denver connecting to SFO, I could feel something change. At first, I wasn’t too excited about going to this work related event since I’m only staying in the city by the bay for one night only. As soon as my flight took off from Dallas dirt and I eased into my chair, my mood shifted to something more curious and eager.

San Francisco, after all, is my favorite place to be in North America. It was my 2008 goal to find a career there and move. Due to the weak shift in the economy and circumstances I didn’t foresee, I decided to stay in Dallas for now. However, I can’t help the fact that I’m so in love with her and can’t wait to see her whenever I’m near.

I’m not faithful to her, though. I’ve had a long distance affair with Hawaii and recently spent a summer fling with Puerto Rico. I had my first encounter with NYC last year and thought I found “the one”, but the second time around the sparks just weren’t there. Recently, I’ve been bored with the states and I’ve been eyeing the mystic and exotic Peru. I’m really looking forward to our meeting this fall.

Traveling does this to me. This is my high wherein others have their girls, drugs and addictions. It doesn’t matter if it’s a luxurious location or a deserted ghost town; I find awesomeness and freshness in anywhere I’ve never been to. When I’m ready to settle down with a family and I’m full from world traveling, I can picture my golden years in a little chateau with a vineyard in Europe somewhere with the love of my life, a kid or two and man’s best friend.
